The central government's order on early retirement has sent shockwaves through 49 lakh employees

Actually, the news came that the government is considering a plan to retire government employees when they are 33 years of service or 60 years old.  In the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh gave information on this.



The central government has rejected the claims being made on the retirement of government employees.  Actually, the news came that the government is considering a plan to retire government employees when they are 33 years of service or 60 years old.  This issue was raised in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.  On this, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said that there is no proposal to reduce the retirement age below 60 years.

 Earlier in the news, it was said that the government can change the retirement age from April 1, 2020.  At present, the age of retirement of central employees is 60 years, while the age of 65 is of doctors and professors.

 It was argued that this arrangement would open the way for promotion and new recruitment of central employees.  However, the government has made its stand clear on this.  This is believed to be a big news of relief for the central employees.

 In the Economic Survey this year, it was told that due to the increasing elderly population in the country and the pressure of pension funding, many countries have started increasing the retirement age of pensionable employees.  In such a situation, the retirement age can be increased here too, but the government has now made it clear that it has no proposal for more or less.
